Types

Grouper
When
anglers begin talking about diverse types of fish, the name grouper
usually comes up. This species can vary from one foot to twelve feet.
They are also one of the few types of fish that actually start off as
females and change sex as they age and get larger. Types of grouper
include the Nassau, the yellowfin, the black seabass, the red and
black varieties, and the Jewfish.
Types
of fish such as the grouper tend to prefer temperate and tropical
waters. The coastal waters off Bermuda, Brazil, and Florida are fairly
teeming with them. The grouper can often be found exploring underwater
hiding places - rocks, reefs, piers, and wrecks. Good methods for
catching these creatures include bottom fishing and trolling.
Types
of fish to use as bait for grouper
Types of fish to use as bait to catch a grouper
include minnows and other small species, like smaller squid, clams,
crab, shrimps, and worms. The key is to get the bait into this
animal’s hidden habitat without snagging your line. You can bottom
fish from an anchored boat or from a pier or dock fairly easily for
these creatures.
Some of the largest of these types
of fish include the black grouper, a name that is sometimes used for
the Warsaw as well. The Warsaw has been known to weigh as much as 580
pounds. A Jewfish can weigh as much as 1,000 pounds. Even though it
can reach such a massive size, it still inhabits shallow waters and
tends to swim around the same underwater obstacles as its brethren.
