Are
you a fisherman who can handle deep sea fishing?

There
are few things more exciting than a fisherman devoted to deep sea
fishing. Hemingway wrote about it in ‘The Old Man and the Sea.’ Films
have been made about the sport. Why does a fisherman pursue deep sea
fishing? Because he is alone on the great wide ocean in pursuit of
magnificent, huge game fish, like the mighty marlin or sailfish. It is
a very compelling and addictive hobby for those who can afford it.
Before
a fisherman gets started on the sport of deep sea fishing, he has to
have a few expensive things. Some kind of seaworthy vessel or yacht is
essential, or at least a good all-day charter. It must be powerful
because if you are far out in the ocean and a storm hits you need to
be able to get back to land fast. These kinds of yachts are usually
specially equipped with ocean angling essentials, such as chair rigs,
live bait wells, and sophisticated electronics. You also will pay more
for an experienced captain who knows the local waters well.
What kind of fisherman goes deep sea fishing?
It’s impossible for one fisherman to take care of
all the requirements of deep sea fishing. A crew is needed to take
care of all the duties that this kind of angling requires. Someone has
to steer the boat, look for birds feeding or movement under the water,
man the lines, and help pull the catch in. At least two people are
needed for all these tasks and even then they are often overextended.
Be careful when hiring a charter that they are well-manned!
A fisherman must be utterly devoted
to deep sea fishing in order to put in the hours that the sport often
requires. A big game fish can sometimes fight for hours before it
tires. These anglers must be committed to the catch. Are you?
